Maarja Korstnik
I have studied acting and drama in Actors Academy Finland school, which is based on S. Meisner’s technique, in Fontainebleau School of Acting in France and with several industry professionals from Europe. I am also trained as an improviser.
I currently work as an actress in Salme Theatre in Tallinn, Estonia and as an improviser, coach and show hostess in Ruutu10 Improv Theatre. I also have a background in audio-visual design, fine arts and music.
I speak Estonian, English and have also studied Russian, Finnish and Japanese languages.
Eventhough I feel my heart is in drama, I’m glad to be trained in comedy as well. I have sang in musicals and trained my voice and aural skills in music school. As an addition, I have BA in sound design + fine arts and MSc in multimedia, which has allowed me to see what happens behind the camera and post-production room. Having trained my creative skills in diffrenet ways has helped me to gain a more artistic approach in whatever I do.
